FIDD is the next step in Fidelity Investments’ 10+ year commitment to the digital assets ecosystem. As a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar, FIDD is backed by the stringent operational standards of Fidelity Digital Assets® and draws on the history, principles, and expertise of the traditional Fidelity Investments® business.
Clients can buy or sell FIDD for $1 on the Fidelity Digital Assets® platform and through Fidelity Crypto®.
The FIDD Difference
Stablecoins are a type of digital asset whose value can be pegged to that of another currency, commodity, or financial instrument. FIDD is specifically pegged to the U.S. dollar and supported by Fidelity Investments’ legacy of integrity and transparency.
A Full-Service Model
FIDD's key functions are supported by Fidelity Investments® businesses, offering investors a full-service stablecoin model. Purchases, redemptions, and coin issuance and management are performed by Fidelity Digital Assets, National Association. Reserve asset management is conducted by Fidelity Management & Research Company LLC.

FIDD's circulating supply and reserve net asset value are self-disclosed as of the close of every business day on Fidelity.com. Our FIDD Reserve Report is prepared by Fidelity Digital Assets, NA on a monthly basis and examined by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in accordance with AICPA attestation standards.

Where can I buy and sell FIDD?
FIDD can be bought and sold for $1 (in eligible jurisdictions) by institutional clients on the Fidelity Digital Assets platform, by retail customers through Fidelity Crypto®, and by advisors through Fidelity Crypto® for Wealth Managers. It is also available on exchanges where FIDD is listed.
How can I feel confident in holding FIDD?
FIDD is fully backed by assets of an equal or greater value. These assets are held in cash, U.S. treasuries, or other safe, liquid assets in accounts at The Bank of New York Mellon.
Additionally, we self-disclose FIDD’s circulating supply and reserve net asset value as of the close of every business day on Fidelity.com, providing users with another degree of transparency around FIDD’s backing.

Why did Fidelity Digital Assets become a stablecoin issuer?
With its client services commencing in 2019, Fidelity Digital Assets—a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments—is dedicated to supporting investors in the digital assets ecosystem. As a stablecoin issuer, Fidelity Digital Assets brings the history, principles, and expertise of Fidelity Investments’ traditional finance business to the operation and oversight of FIDD. Our goal with products such as FIDD is to continue supporting clients’ business needs across the rapidly evolving digital assets landscape.
Does Fidelity Digital Assets have an external examination of FIDD's reserve assets?
FIDD’s Reserve Reports are prepared by Fidelity Digital Assets, NA on a monthly basis and examined by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in accordance with AICPA attestation standards. See the monthly reports here.
Who is eligible to buy and sell FIDD through Fidelity Digital Assets?
Retail customers and their advisors interested in purchasing and redeeming FIDD through Fidelity Crypto® and Fidelity Crypto® for Wealth Managers must be in a U.S. state or territory where Fidelity Digital Assets can serve investors and is able to offer FIDD. Please see the current list of eligible states and territories here.
Institutional clients interested in purchasing and redeeming FIDD on the Fidelity Digital Assets platform should contact their client service representative to determine eligibility.
I purchased FIDD but do not have a Fidelity Crypto or Fidelity Digital Assets account. Does Fidelity Digital Assets have any service or other obligations to me as a FIDD holder?
If you purchased FIDD but do not have a Fidelity Crypto® or Fidelity Digital Assets account, you may use FIDD for all lawful purposes and transfer FIDD to any* Ethereum mainnet wallet address. If you want to redeem your FIDD for a guaranteed $1 price with Fidelity Digital Assets, you will need to open a Fidelity Crypto or Fidelity Digital Assets account.
